Chen Xiangjun's research group of West Lake University is committed to studying the regulatory effect of mucosal tissue microenvironment on the differentiation and function of immune cells in a variety of infectious animal models using the multi-dimensional screening platform in vivo and single cell multi omics technology, providing new targets and new ideas for the development of therapeutic drugs for infectious diseases, inflammatory diseases and other diseases. Dr. Chen Xiangjun obtained his doctoral degree from the Institute of Immunology at Tsinghua University in 2018. From 2018 to 2023, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Harvard Broad Institute/Massachusetts General Hospital. His main research work has been published in Science,? Nature Immunology,? Journal of Clinical Investigation,? Journals such as Nature Communications

The laboratory will use virology and immunology methods, combined with single-cell omics and structural biology techniques, to conduct the following main research (but not limited to) on coronaviruses and influenza viruses:
1. The mechanism by which vaccines induce sustained and long-lasting immune responses in T cells, B cells, and neutralizing antibodies
2. The effect of memory B cell antigen imprinting or original antigenic sin on vaccine induced immune response
3. Develop neutralizing epitope targeted vaccines
4. Develop nano adjuvants using high-throughput small molecule in vitro screening, in vitro nano assembly, and in vivo Tfh and GC B cell immune response detection technologies
