Job Description:
1、 Introduction to Research Direction
The drug research and development team of Guangzhou Medical University, together with Academician Stephen Hashmi from Heidelberg University in Germany, is recruiting several postdoctoral fellows. Currently, the collaborative research project focuses on innovative drug discovery driven by new chemical reaction tools, including: (1) the development of green drug synthesis technology driven by electricity/photochemistry; (2) Asymmetric catalytic synthesis for precise construction of chiral drug scaffolds; (3) Carbon hydrogen functionalization reaction guided by nitrogen-containing heterocyclic functional framework
2、 Job requirements:
(1) Having obtained or about to obtain a doctoral degree in a relevant field, generally not exceeding the age of 35
(2) Having research backgrounds in organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, and other related fields
(3) Priority will be given to first author who has published SCI papers
(4) Have a passion for scientific research, possess good academic ethics and a rigorous scientific attitude
3、 Welfare benefits:
(1) Annual salary of up to 370000 yuan (approximately 21000 yuan/month+6000 yuan/month housing provident fund); After completing the assessment task (one project at or above the second district level or one project at or above the provincial level), the excess completed part will enjoy relevant scientific and technological rewards according to the school's regulations, with a maximum reward of 350000 yuan when leaving the station

A. Stephen K. Hashmi, Professor at Heidelberg University in Germany and member of the European Academy of Sciences. Previously served as the head of the Department of Organic Chemistry, Vice Dean of the Department of Chemistry and Earth Sciences, and Executive Vice President at Heidelberg University in Germany; The current director of the Institute of Organic Chemistry at Heidelberg University and the director of the Heidelberg BASF Collaborative Innovation CaRLa Center. Mainly engaged in the preparation of new gold catalysts, the development of innovative synthesis methods, and the exploration and application of their mechanisms. More than 500 academic papers have been published, with over 38000 citations and an h-index of 94. Yi Wei is currently a professor of the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Diseases and Guangzhou Medical University, vice president of the College of Pharmacy, and winner of the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars. Mainly engaged in innovative drug design and discovery based on structure and guided by function. So far, as the first or corresponding author, I have published over 120 papers in journals such as Chem, Cell Res, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., ACS Catal., Chem. Sci., PNAS, Adv. Sci., APSB, etc., with a total citation count of over 5000 and an h-index of 37; Applied for more than 10 domestic and foreign invention patents, some of which have been successfully transferred. I have presided over projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the Youth Fund, and have also received funding and titles for outstanding young scientific research talents, including the Sanofi Aventis Outstanding Young Scientist at the Shanghai Institutes of Life Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2015), the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Outstanding Youth Fund (2017), the Guangdong Province "Innovative Drug Design and Discovery Based on Target Protein Structure" Innovation Team (2019), and the Guangzhou "Lingnan Yingjie Project" National Reserve Talent (2019). Zeng Zhongyi, Professor of Nanshan Scholars at Guangzhou Medical University. Mainly engaged in the development of new chemical reaction tools guided by functional molecules, focusing on the development of electric/photochemical driven green drug synthesis and efficient conversion of inert chemical bonds guided by functional molecules.
