The research group led by Ren Ruobing from Fudan University has collaborated with Beijing Baipusaisi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. in the design, modification, and development of proteins with significant translational value, including but not limited to synthetic biology, clinical diagnostic reagents, and drug development. Due to the requirements of the collaborative project, both parties will jointly recruit 1-2 postdoctoral researchers

（1） Application Requirements

1. Outstanding PhDs at home and abroad who have graduated within three years (inclusive) or are about to obtain a doctoral degree, possess high academic level and strong research ability, have a strong interest and certain experience in translational research, and have published one or more research papers as the first author in mainstream journals in the field

2. Priority should be given to majors in biochemistry, computational biology, pharmacy, microbiology, and chemical biology. Applications for other biomedical related majors are also welcome

Dr. Ren Ruobing is currently a young researcher at the Institute of Metabolism and Integrative Biology, Fudan University. She has long been engaged in molecular mechanism research on the relationship between lipid metabolism and major diseases, as well as the discovery of targeted molecules. She has served as the main author in Science, NSMB, Cell Research, Nature Communications, PNAS and other high-level journals have published over ten academic papers, receiving funding support from various levels such as the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation

Over the years, Professor Sun Ren has achieved multiple milestone achievements in the field of virus host interaction, including the first analysis of the functional map of the entire virus genome with single nucleotide accuracy, and the first precise design of virus vaccines at the single amino acid level based on this map. He has also interpreted the structure of asymmetric RNA virus genomes at atomic resolution for the first time, providing a solid foundation for analyzing the potential mechanisms of virus replication and developing new vaccine design schemes

The future research directions of the research group include but are not limited to:
1）? Accurate functional localization of viral genomes and vaccine development:
Professor Sun Ren's team has developed a high-throughput and high-precision functional analysis strategy for virus mutants, enabling ultra high precision (single nucleotide level) and systematic characterization of the virus functional genome map. Using this method, Professor Sun's team successfully interpreted the replication and immune escape mechanism of influenza virus (Du et al., Science 2018), HIV (Du et al., mBio 2017), hepatitis C virus (Qi et al., PNAS 2017) and other pathogens
Due to the above platform's ability to quickly and accurately locate the entire genome under a given screening condition (including searching for co infection factors, drug resistance, immune escape, etc.), precise modifications can be made to corresponding regions to construct recombinant viruses, improving the immunogenicity of the virus while reducing its pathogenicity without reducing production capacity, and developing new attenuated vaccines (Du et al., Science 2018; Gong et al., Cell Host Microbe 2016; NPJ Vaccines 2020)
