The heterozygosity and developmental progression of tissue stem cells are the basis for maintaining tissue functional balance and repairing damage. In previous studies, we found through knockout experiments of the AKT1S1 encoding gene in mice that abnormalities in the AKT-mTORC1 signaling axis led to abnormal development of spermatogonial stem cells during the transition period from undifferentiated to undifferentiated, resulting in dysregulation. This revealed that the signaling pathway regulating self-renewal and differentiation of spermatogonial stem cells has developmental stage specificity.
