Xellar Biosystems and City University of Hong Kong are jointly recruiting a postdoctoral fellow in the field of biological image analysis, who will primarily develop methods for analyzing cell images to promote drug development. This postdoctoral position is supported by the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Fund. You can choose to work in Hong Kong/Shenzhen, Shanghai/Zhengzhou according to your personal preference
Job Responsibilities
？ Develop characterization methods to extract features from multi-channel, 3D cell images to describe the therapeutic effects (efficacy, safety, and drug mechanism) on cells ？ Develop generative models to generate images based on given biological or chemical information ？ Develop methods for time series image analysis
？ Exchange research results through publishing scientific papers or conference reports Recruitment conditions
？ Doctoral degrees in computer science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, computational biology, computational chemistry, or related fields ？ Proficient in computer vision, image analysis, machine learning, and deep learning
？ Proficient in Python programming and familiar with mainstream deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax）

Mainly responsible for building artificial intelligence and data science platforms, utilizing Yaosu Technology's organ chip data to improve understanding of diseases and evaluate drug efficacy. Before joining Yaosu Technology, Dr. Xie Zhiyong worked at Pfizer for 19 years, engaged in preclinical efficacy evaluation, clinical trials, drug safety, experimental design and management, data analysis, and AI applications. Dr. Xie Zhiyong obtained his Ph.D. and Master's degrees in Computer Science from Arizona State University and Peking University, respectively. And completed postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine
？ Dr. Bai Haiqing is the preclinical development director of Yaosu Technology. He has extensive experience in developing models based on human organ chips for disease modeling and drug testing. His work in these fields has been published in many * * journals. He has obtained multiple patent authorizations for his use of human organ chips for drug reuse. Dr. Bai led one of the first cases to submit preclinical data using human organ chips for IND. Dr. Bai holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, a PhD in Pathology from the University of Rochester, and postdoctoral training from Harvard University
？ Dr. Ma Kede is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong (CityU). He graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2012. Obtained master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Waterloo in 2014 and 2017, respectively.
