Job Description:
• Set up a Corporate Material Engineering Group with a comprehensive and capable material lab for all product business groups and product lines through seamless collaboration with internal product and engineering groups and external parties.
• Fully develop the Materials Engineering Group organization, recruit talented people and train them to be capable material engineers and identify the leadership successors.
• Define the scope and plan for this Corporate Material Engineering Group and define the annual MBO plan by working with product and engineering groups. Manage the daily operation of Material lab.
• This Corporate Materials Engineering Group will engage a number of critical materials development and engineering programs or projects including CVD, Etch, MOCVD and others.
• When working with Etch, CVD and MOCVD Product Group for their critical materials development projects, the materials engineering group will assign the project owners and they will organization wide report to Materials Engineering Group, and project wide also dotted line report to Product and Engineer Heads. We will define the dotted line reporting case by case.
• The materials development projects include the chamber bulk materials, novel coating materials, chamber dry cleaning methodology and process/materials related project for the purpose of lower CoC, longer parts lifetime, less metal contamination, lower thermos budget, high growth rate and lower particle counts.
• The Materials Engineering Group will work with a Corporate Cleaning Group and their lab closely (their lab will be more focused on parts cleaning and chamber wet cleaning and recovery) to find total solution for improving particle and contamination reduction and productivity.
• Responsible for advanced ceramic materials such as oxides, nitrides, silicon carbide, silicates and other bulk materials and various surface chemical deposition and epitaxial growth materials are required for the development of ETCH and thin film products.
• Work with GMO and product group for failure analysis and parts quality check and to develop second suppliers on material related matters.
• Work with GMO and product groups to evaluate the materials developed by suppliers.

Requirements
1. Master and above degree, major in science or engineering, chemistry and physics related is preferred, Doctor is preferred;
2. Minimum 12 years’ experience in advanced semiconductor or related industry;
3. Working experience in Etch, CVD process related is a must;
4. Ability to lead a project team to complete a product development;
5. Proven track record of exceptional and management excellence is a plus;
6. Self-motivated, lead by vision and by example;
7. Ability to work with other function team, peers, internal and external customers.
