About STOmics and Stereo-seq
BGI STOmics is a pioneer in advancing spatially-resolved transcriptomic analysis through its proprietary Stereo-seq (SpaTial Enhanced REsolution Omics-Sequencing) technology. Built on DNA Nanoball (DNB) technology, Stereo-seq offers researchers a novel tool to explore spatial biology with unprecedented field-of-view and resolution. Stereo-seq has been applied to many cutting-edge research projects worldwide. The initial results of these project have been published in world's leading multidisciplinary science such as Cell, Nature, and Science.

Key Responsibilities:
Discuss product offerings with potential and current collaborators;
Be the go-to person for collaborators on Stereo-seq project related matters and respond in a timely manner;
Provide bioinformatics technical support for collaborators in the design and analysis of experiments;
Work with our internal scientists to answer specific collaborator-driven biological questions;
Prepare technical reports, presentations (both internal and external), and manuscripts detailing key methodologies and results;
Troubleshoot and maintain bioinformatics pipelines;
Be responsible for new technologies technical transfer from HQ to region;
Represent BGI STOmics and participate in major conferences in the field;
Feedback market needs to internal Product and R&D department;
Manage projects according to company regulations.
Education:
Ph.D. degree with 1+ years (or MS degree with 3+ years) of working experience in the industry in the field of biology, bioinformatics, or equivalent. (negotiable)
Experience / Skill:
Must be confident and comfortable when working in a customer-facing environment;
Experience in external technical training is a plus;
Strong self-directed learning and researching skill for new knowledge is a must;
Strong technical knowledge of NGS applications and bioinformatics, single cell sequencing and spatial omics experience strongly preferred;
Solid computational skills and a deep understanding of omics data and its analysis is a plus;
Proficient in Python is required for FBS;
Excellent personal and communication skills, including solid presentation and writing skills;
Linguistic and cultural fluency in English required, additional language a plus (any other language at native or near-native proficiency);
Native or near-native level Chinese proficiency is a plus (speaking, reading, writing);
Must be self-motivated, a quick learner, dedicated to achieving excellence, and love to take on new challenges;
