Job responsibilities.
Based on the Huada Life Multi omics Research Platform and Long Read Long Sequencing Platform, leading the research and transformation of new generation cutting-edge omics technologies for cutting-edge scientific research and applications, including.
1. Lead the design and implementation of research and development plans, responsible for the development and optimization of biochemical systems, the establishment and improvement of database construction processes, and the optimization of underlying platform support;
2. Lead the project proposal, organize the team to efficiently promote project implementation and evaluation improvement, and regularly summarize and report;
3. Coordinate with relevant departments of BGI and assist in the transformation and application of technology research and development achievements;
4. Establish and maintain research and development cooperation with domestic and foreign research institutions, hospitals, etc., to promote the smooth progress of projects;
5. Pay attention to and interpret the latest scientific research trends and technological advancements, ensuring that research and development projects are at the forefront of the industry;
6. Apply for vertical and horizontal funding at all levels, write and publish high-level scientific research papers, and apply for relevant patents.
Job requirements.
Educational requirements.- PhD or above in biochemistry, molecular biology, genomics or related majors;
Academic background.- Having a strong academic background in biochemistry and molecular biology, with a preference for RNA biology research background, and publishing at least 2 high-level SCI articles (IF>15) as first author/corresponding author (including co authors);
Work experience. Research experience at the level of a researcher or associate researcher, with overseas study or work experience preferred;
Technical ability.- Having rich experience in multi omics research and development, including single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, and single-molecule long read sequencing technologies, familiarity with omics technology based on nanopore sequencing is preferred, and experience in leading omics technology industrialization is preferred;
Project management.- Having excellent project management skills, able to efficiently organize and coordinate team research and development work;
Communication skills.- Excellent team management and communication skills, able to collaborate with different departments.
