1、 Introduction to Professor Zheng Jiarong’s Team
Professor Zheng Jiarong, currently a specially appointed professor in the Department of Food Science and Engineering and the Key Laboratory of Marine Microbiome Engineering at Shenzhen University, has formed a research team on food nutrition and safety. In 2009, he obtained his doctoral degree from the School of Life Sciences at the University of Hong Kong. He has served as a distinguished researcher at the School of Engineering at Peking University, an assistant professor at the Macau University of Science and Technology, and a research assistant professor at Stony Brook University in New York, USA. The research direction mainly includes. 1) regulatory strategies and mechanisms for the formation of harmful substances in food processing; 2) Development of functional food raw materials and research on their efficacy mechanisms; 3) Microalgae Biotechnology. In recent years, more than 100 papers have been published in international high-level journals, with a total citation count of over 7780 (Google Scholar) and an H-index of 40. He has served as the deputy editor in chief of RSC Advances, a subsidiary journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and is also an editorial board member and reviewer for several international academic journals.
With the person in charge to undertake the “13th Five Year Plan” national key research and development projects (12.05 million yuan) and the key research and development projects of Guangdong Province, the “14th Five Year Plan” national key research and development projects, and the general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as the core member, the team was approved to introduce innovation and entrepreneurship in the “the Pearl River Talent Plan” of Guangdong Province, the “high-level talent team” of Shenzhen City, and the “Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Marine Microbiology Group Engineering”. At present, the total funds of the team exceed 30 million yuan.

2、 Recruiting postdoctoral positions and requirements
We plan to recruit several postdoctoral fellows in the fields of food safety, food nutrition, functional foods, etc. The application requirements are as follows.
1. Who have obtained a doctoral degree for no more than 3 years, as well as applicants, are not allowed to apply for postdoctoral research positions in the same first level discipline as their doctoral graduation unit.
2. Possess strong research and innovation abilities as well as teamwork spirit.
3. Possess good academic ethics, rigorous scientific attitude, good physical health, and the job requirements to be competent for the position.
Applicants who have achieved significant scientific research results will be given priority consideration.
5. Strong English reading and writing skills.
6. Priority will be given to those with backgrounds in food safety research, functional food research, etc.
3、 Term of employment benefits.
The contract period for postdoctoral fellows in schools is 2 or 3 years; The comprehensive annual salary is over 330000 yuan, and outstanding candidates can reach 420000 yuan.
