Job Overview.
The Solid State Battery Materials and Devices Research Center of Southern University of Science and Technology currently has more than 50 members. Mainly engaged in the development of key materials and devices for solid-state batteries, including high specific capacity new oxide positive electrode materials, inorganic/polymer composite solid electrolyte materials, new electrolytes, binders, silicon-based negative electrodes, lithium metal negative electrodes, and solid-state battery devices.
According to the development of the research group and the needs of various project work, we are recruiting 4-6 outstanding postdoctoral fellows.
Job Responsibilities.
(1) Participate in research work for various projects of the center;
(2) Complete the research project and achieve scientific research results;
(3) Encourage them to apply for projects in related fields;
(4) Participate in the optimization and construction of the center platform, assist in guiding graduate students, etc.
Salary and benefits.
The postdoctoral appointment period is two years.
1. Provide competitive annual salary and benefits for postdoctoral fellows upon entry, with specific salary and benefits to be discussed in person. There are also two-level subsidies from Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City, and participation in social insurance and housing provident fund in accordance with relevant regulations of Shenzhen City. Postdoctoral welfare expenses shall be distributed in accordance with the standards of the school’s faculty and staff. Specially outstanding individuals can apply for postdoctoral positions with further salary and benefits.
2. The research group provides excellent working environment and opportunities for domestic and international cooperation and exchange. Postdoctoral fellows enjoy a total of 25000 academic exchange funds for two years during their tenure at the station.
3. According to the specific research performance of postdoctoral fellows, they can also enjoy corresponding research performance rewards from their departments and research groups.
4. The research team provides sufficient scientific research support and assists the postdoctoral fellow as the leader in applying for the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Postdoctoral Talent Program, National Natural Science Foundation, and various scientific research projects in Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City.
5. The research group can assist eligible overseas postdoctoral fellows in applying for the “Guangdong Province Overseas Youth Postdoctoral Introduction Project”. Obtaining a doctoral degree from one of the top 200 universities in the world (excluding domestic universities, the ranking can refer to the previous year’s Times, USNEWS, QS, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University World University Rankings), engaging in postdoctoral research at a postdoctoral station in Guangdong Province, and committing to postdoctoral research for more than 2 years. After successful application, the provincial finance will provide a living allowance of 600000 yuan for each postdoctoral fellow who enters the station. For postdoctoral fellows who receive funding from this project, sign work agreements or labor contracts with employers in Guangdong Province after leaving, and promise to work continuously in Guangdong for more than 3 years, the provincial finance will provide a housing subsidy of 400000 yuan per person.
6. Postdoctoral fellows who choose to stay in Shenzhen to engage in scientific research work and have signed a labor (employment) contract with local enterprises and institutions for more than 3 years can apply for Shenzhen Postdoctoral Study in Shenzhen Research Funding. The Shenzhen Municipal Government provides a research funding of 100000 yuan per person per year for a total of 3 years.
7. For postdoctoral fellows who meet the relevant policy requirements of the latest “Shenzhen New Talent Rental and Living Subsidies”, after settling in Shenzhen, they can assist in applying for a one-time rental and living subsidy of 30000 yuan (tax-free, self online application) in Shenzhen.
8. According to the conditions that one meets, postdoctoral fellows who stay in or leave Shenzhen can apply for the corresponding talent plan in Shenzhen (subject to the latest relevant talent application requirements in Shenzhen).
9. We will actively recommend and assist outstanding postdoctoral fellows in applying for positions such as research assistant professor at Southern University of Science and Technology.
Job requirements.
(1) Doctoral degree in a related field;
(2) Have a solid foundation in chemistry, materials science, and electrochemistry;
(3) Published papers as the first author in international high-level journals in the relevant field;
(4) Having good scientific literacy, sense of responsibility, and teamwork spirit;
(5) Have good English reading, writing, and communication skills.
