Job description :
Job Responsibilities.
1. Fully participate in industrial research on sodium ion batteries, all solid state batteries, and fuel cells, including basic innovation, requirement definition, project planning, specification development, system design, experimental verification, and device/system failure mode analysis.
2. Meet with customers, business units, and experts to understand the key technical factors and requirements necessary for launching new products.
3. Apply electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and basic electrochemistry for material evaluation/understanding, electrochemical device manufacturing, and electrochemical process development. Perform optimization work to transform the results of the concept validation into feasible business solutions.
4. Participate in experimental research to gain a deeper understanding of material/device performance and processes.
5. Plan, write, and report research plans and proposals to Midea Group’s internal and external organizations and partners.
6. Establish and maintain a technology cooperation network, including universities and external partners.
7. Able to adapt to the transition from long-term and exploratory research to application and development projects, serving multiple Midea business projects
Qualifications for the position.
1. Hold a doctoral degree in electrochemistry or related disciplines, or a master’s degree in electrochemistry with over 5 years of experience in electrochemical process and device development, particularly in sodium ion batteries, all solid state batteries, and fuel cells.
2. Passionate about using chemical and electrochemical technologies to solve objective world technological challenges, able to work in chemical or electrochemical laboratories, design and execute key experiments.
3. Experience in applying knowledge of electrochemical kinetics to understand and enhance the performance of electrochemical processes/devices, including the application of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and other electrochemical methods.
4. Ability to link the chemical and physical properties of materials with electrochemical phenomena and related applications.
5. Have experience in material preparation, performance evaluation, mechanism research, and modeling, and possess strong design and construction capabilities for research devices.
6. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent teamwork abilities, and the ability to establish and maintain good customer relationships.
7. Possess excellent problem-solving skills, able to analyze problems from a global perspective, identify opportunities, and implement significant changes.
8. Self motivation, independent thinking, and proactive problem-solving.
9. Have a strong awareness of the environment, health, and safety.
10. Fluent oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
