On the morning of December 3rd, the 2021 “Ten Thousand Doctors Gather at Guangming” event, hosted by the Talent Work Bureau and the High level Talent Service Center of Guangming District, Shenzhen, was grandly held at the Guangming Science City Exhibition Center.
Zeng Duowei, member of the Standing Committee of the Guangming District Committee and Minister of the Organization Department of Shenzhen, attended the opening ceremony. 116 doctoral talents from 54 well-known universities at home and abroad, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Sun Yat sen University, University of Science and Technology of China, Cambridge University, Oxford University, University of Tsukuba in Japan, and University of Stuttgart in Germany, as well as representatives from 46 key enterprises in Guangming District, participated in the event. The event innovatively created a precise and efficient new talent introduction model of “three first and three later”, with a signing rate of over 80%.

The 116 outstanding domestic and foreign PhDs attending the conference all come from world-renowned universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, University of Science and Technology of China, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University of Tsukuba in Japan, and University of Stuttgart in Germany. Their research fields are all focused on key industries in Guangming District, such as new materials, life sciences, and intelligence.
