1、 School Introduction
Guangzhou Medical University was founded in 1958 and is a national “Double First Class” construction university, one of the first pilot universities for the “Excellent Doctor Education and Training Plan” in China, and a key construction university for high-level universities in Guangdong Province.
Heidelberg University was founded in 1386 and is located in Heidelberg, Germany. It is a member of the 4EU+Alliance, German Elite University, European Research University Alliance, Coimbra Group, U15 University Alliance, and European University Association, and is one of the most renowned comprehensive universities in the world.
2、 Introduction to research direction
The School of Pharmacy at Guangzhou Medical University and Heidelberg University in Germany are jointly recruiting postdoctoral fellows. Currently, the research topic focuses on the development of green synthesis guided by drug like frameworks and its pharmaceutical applications, including. (1) electric/photochemical driven green drug synthesis and post modification; (2) Asymmetric catalytic synthesis for precise construction of chiral drug scaffolds.
3、 Job requirements
(1) Having obtained or about to obtain a doctoral degree in a relevant field;
(2) Having research backgrounds in organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, and other related fields;
(3) Priority will be given to first author who has published SCI papers;
(4) Have a passion for scientific research, possess good academic ethics and a rigorous scientific attitude.
4、 Welfare benefits
(1) Postdoctoral salaries are divided into three categories.
Class A. Annual salary of 370000 to 520000 yuan (including provincial and municipal financial funds).
Category B. Annual salary of 300000 to 450000 yuan (including provincial and municipal financial funds).
Class C. Annual salary starting from 230000 yuan (including provincial and municipal financial funds).
In addition to the annual salary mentioned above, those who meet the conditions can receive a postdoctoral research performance reward of 200000 to 350000 yuan, with the highest school research reward of 200000 yuan.
(2) After 3 years of standing time, those who meet the exit requirements can apply for early exit. Those who meet the conditions can apply for two stops, with a maximum standing time of 6 years.
(3) During the station period, the municipal government will allocate 200000 scientific research start-up funds. After leaving the station, you can apply for 300000 Guangzhou resettlement allowance (tax-free, requiring a work contract of more than 3 years with Guangzhou municipal units); If the overseas postdoctoral talent support project is approved to work in Guangdong, a scholarship of 400000 yuan can be obtained for studying in Guangdong; If you apply for the postdoctoral fund, you can be selected as a reserve talent in Guangzhou and enjoy a 1 million yuan family allowance, tax-free.
(4) As the person in charge, I can apply for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and provincial and municipal level projects. If I am awarded a national level project, the school will provide certain funding support.
(5) Postdoctoral fellows can directly apply for associate senior professional and technical titles (meeting performance requirements) at the station, without being limited by the proportion of positions in their unit.
(6) Postdoctoral fellows with excellent performance will be given priority consideration for the talent of Nanshan Scholars at the school, or for applying for teaching positions within the establishment.
(7) The main campus is equipped with postdoctoral apartments (with an area of 30-50 square meters) or single dormitories for postdoctoral fellows.
(8) During the station, you can go to the Hashmi research group at Heidelberg University in Germany for exchange and learning.
5、 Introduction to Collaborative Mentors
Yi Wei, Professor of the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Diseases, Vice President of the School of Pharmacy of Guangzhou Medical University (in charge of scientific research); Doctoral supervisor, outstanding scholar of Nanshan, outstanding youth of Guangdong Province, outstanding hero of Lingnan in Guangzhou City; Member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, member of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, member of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, and member of the Chinese Chemical Society. Mainly engaged in innovative drug design and discovery based on structure and guided by function. So far, more than 100 research papers have been published in internationally renowned journals such as Nature, Cell Res, Chem, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Sci., ACS Catal., Chem. Sci., PNAS, APSB, etc., with a total citation rate of over 4000 times and an h-index greater than 40. Applied for more than 10 domestic and foreign invention patents (including one US patent and five PCT patents), some of which have been successfully transferred, with a total amount of nearly 8 million US dollars.
Zeng Zhongyi, professor, young the Pearl River scholar of Guangdong Province, researcher of the key laboratory of the State Food and Drug Administration and the provincial key laboratory. Obtained a doctoral degree from Heidelberg University in Germany in 2018; Subsequently, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Zurich in Switzerland and the Ruhr University Bochum in Germany; At the end of 21, he joined the School of Pharmacy at Guangzhou Medical University as a specially appointed professor of Nanshan Scholars. Hosted multiple research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and at the provincial and municipal levels. My research interests include the design and development of green drug synthesis strategies, as well as efficient conversion of inert chemical bonds guided by functional molecules; As the first/corresponding author in Angew More than 20 papers have been published in renowned journals such as Chem. Int. Ed., Nat. Commun., ACS Catal., Coord. Chem. Rev., Green Chem., among others, 7 papers have IF>10.
A. Stephen K. Hashmi, Professor at Heidelberg University in Germany and member of the European Academy of Sciences. Previously served as the head of the Department of Organic Chemistry, Vice Dean of the Department of Chemistry and Earth Sciences, and Executive Vice President at Heidelberg University in Germany; The current director of the Institute of Organic Chemistry at Heidelberg University and the director of the Heidelberg BASF Collaborative Innovation CaRLa Center. Mainly engaged in the preparation of new gold catalysts, the development of innovative synthesis methods, and the exploration and application of their mechanisms. More than 500 academic papers have been published, with over 38000 citations and an h-index of 100.
